What we collect, and what we don't.
Short version: our mailing list stores your email address and nothing else. The app keeps your magnets on your phone. Last updated August 2026.
The mailing list
Magpop is out, so the waitlist form is gone from this site. We still hold the addresses people gave it, because deleting a list quietly is not the same as being asked to leave it. Each was confirmed by clicking a link, so nobody was added who did not ask to be.
We do not ask for your name, and we do not buy, sell, rent or share the list. It exists to say when something is worth saying, which is rarely. You can leave at any time.
The list is held by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), an email service based in the United States, which stores the address on our behalf and sends the mail. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and using it removes you.
The app
Magpop is local-first. Your photos, magnets, boards, stories and the places attached to them are stored on your device. We do not upload them, we cannot see them, and there is no account to sign into.
If you use iCloud backup, your Magpop data is included in that backup under Apple's terms, not ours. Photos you choose to share leave your device only when you share them.
This website
No analytics, no advertising trackers, no cookies for tracking. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark preference, so the site does not flip on you between visits. It never leaves your browser.
The site is hosted by Vercel and fonts are served by Google Fonts. Both receive your IP address as an unavoidable part of delivering a web page, as any host does.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. For the mailing list that is one address and we can remove it immediately. Email astherlouie.cabardo@gmail.com and we will do it.
If you are in the EU or UK, our basis for holding your address is your consent, given when you confirmed it, and you can withdraw that at any time via the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.
Children
Magpop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will update the date at the top. Since the only contact we have is the mailing list, material changes affecting subscribers will be told to subscribers.
